Drama 6-10 years:
Introduction to Drama through games and theatre sports activities at appropriate Developmental Levels. Focus will be on Movement, Characterisation, Improvisation, Voice and Listening skills.
Highly practical class where solo and group activities will be demonstrated.
The Aim of the class is to enhance confidence and self-esteem whilst developing basic techniques in Drama.
Drama 10-13 years:
Introduction to Drama through games, theatre sports and working through to an understanding of the Elements of Drama.
This class will be very practical and students will be introduced to a variety of dramatic styles and Theatrecraft. Students will become familiar with scripts and working in group situations.
The Aim of the class is to enhance confidence with all Elements of Drama and provide each student with a better understanding of the workings of the Theatre in general.
Drama - Seniors:
An advanced course that assumes there is some experience in the Dramatic Arts (school is fine). The course will include the exploration and development of comprehensive Stagecraft and Theatrical Practice.
A predominantly practical course but with some theory included where relevant.
The Aim of the class is to introduce a diverse range of Theatrical Practice skills, techniques and styles that would complement all forms of Drama for the Performance Arts. Students will develop and refine their own individual performance through a variety of improvisation, script and personal choice decisions.
